This is a good example of the website being very enticing and the actual place being very bad. Some of the items listed as being on their buffet were not present and many of the items we tried had obviously been sitting out for several hours and not hot. The chicken was piled so high the old chicken would never be eaten. The buffet was tiny and was the same price as Golden Corral but we would never eat here again. The good news is we haven't gotten sick yet.

Now this is just my opinion based off my first visit. I was highly disappointed. The service was great but I've had better tasting greens, the Mac-n-cheese on had cheese in certain spots with macaroni being and tasting plain. The fried chicken and fried fish was really good. The sweet potatoes was also good, the potato salad was bland. I'm going to chalk up to being an off night for the restaurant because I heard really good things about the food and this was recommended to me, but I'm telling it what I feel. There were ants crawling on the wall where i was sitting,, gnats flying around and the place was hot.

My Lord, this was my favorite food stop on our roadtrip south. From pigs feet, chitlins, and collard greens to cheesy Mac, fried chicken, and biscuits. Southern food at its best. All buffet style, but everything was fresh. The fried chicken was only second best to Gus's in Memphis, but very close. If I am ever in Wilmington again, it may be the only place I eat. Very friendly staff and all of the customers even felt welcoming with their smiles. A must if you are in the area. A+

To the people of Wilmington, you better cherish this gem here. The food is amazing! If you’re looking to eat a good amount of soul food, BBQ, comfort food, this is the spot! I went during lunch hour. There were many elders there eating. It did really remind me of grandmas cooking with the vibe of the people there, the layout of the place. The fried chicken was crunchy and juicy. The bbq pork was moist, I had to come in for seconds. Adding mash potatoes and gravy with corn compliments everything else so much. The pork feet just falls off the bone and it easily melts in your mouth and breaks down with a bite. They’re constantly stocking up on the food and the servers are steady working. I definitely enjoyed my time there.
